What influenced you to become a personal trainer?
My personal training journey began way back in 1999 when I became certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT) and worked as a weight room attendant at the University of Minnesota. Very few ladies were pumping iron back then and it was my goal to get other females in the game. Personal training was quite new at that time and I like to think of myself as one of its pioneers.
In more recent years, my body’s own changes and challenges have led me to dive deeper into the latest research on lifestyle and training modifications as we women enter perimenopause and menopause. My passion is to educate and support other women as they approach and journey through this stage of life.

I’m a soccer, cross country, track & volleyball mom and spend much of my free time on the sidelines with my husband supporting the teams. I also volunteer with various animal rescues as a foster/socializer and have a huge heart for all animals. Yes, I want to see your pet pictures!
